Good call. I didn't see Giles coming and neither did the Crows I reckon.

Probably a fair call by Crowey.... I mean, to rub out the entire crows midfield (1 bloke) is a bit rough. #cheatingvictorians

Maybe I am just too old to get that passionate anymore, but I don't understand why supporters do this sort of crap. Football is more enjoyable when you meet up with supporters from other clubs, give a bit of friendly banter during the game and then shake hands afterwards. Did that during the showdown and also again last night.

In Spinal Tap, there such a fine line between stupid and, uhh clever, and in sport, there a fine line between a passionate supporter and an idiot.

Some weeks the team play well, some weeks they don't, that is the essence of sport. Maybe it because I barracked for a bottom team like south for 40 years but if I got so upset every time Panthers lost I would be dead by now.

Indeed they are MT. They looked like a team that could go all the way however I still think their ruck will hurt them in the finals. Whether their midfield can counter that will be the big question mark.

As for the Crows, I haven't seen them play so badly for years - and still they got within 20 odd points, so all is not lost.

Fortunately I was in Melbourne most of the week, so avoided the dribble...

The reality about that result is that the Crows were flattered by that final margin. When the game was on the line, they were comprehensively outclassed. Especially in the midfield.

Dangerfield 2 clearances and 3 inside 50s in first 2 minutes. Bartel and Hawkins goals! Give him the 3 votes now.

I had a 50yr old man tell me to enjoy my walk out and make sure I'm looking over my shoulder the whole time, from about 5 rows back.
At least some other Crows supporters told him to pull his head.

Can bombers keep the lead and beat carlton along with saints beating brisbane - the no 1 pick in pre season draft is up for grabs still (maybe o'meara)?
