Toumpas could get sliced up and made into chips. He's a spud.
Melbourne have ****** their talent identification up for a long time and taking him at #4 is no different. We know what we get with Young, he has a crack and his year, this year, was a little spoiled by being used as the sub a lot and his hair cut.
Get him into a barbers chair and into the side with some regularity and he'll be more than serviceable IMO and I think he could be a good run with player given the chance. He's hard at it, tackles well and can go all day.

F**k no! Toumpas has always been and will always be as soft as butter!!!!! As I've said before he's one of the softest junior guns I've seen, pace to burn and brilliant creativity and skills but as soon as he got tackled he was done. I still remember when he got crunched at Flinders Park and went off sooking.
Surely Port wouldn't get rid of Youngy for Toumpas. Seriously.

Leigh Mathews was adamant that they wont be trading him out and that he would be going into the draft if he doesnt re-sign with them

Swann later distanced himself from those comments.
It's a ridiculous statement from Matthews, as there's no way they'd let Aish go to the PSD and they end up with nothing.

Matthews runs the show up there.
Maybe he is deciding to take a stand and stop the exodus or atleast bluff the kids into thinking that.

Thing is, he's not quick at AFL level, either with his feet or his thinking.
