Mitchell from the Hawks plays the same role but better so would think if that is the type of player the umpires are looking at Mitchell will be ahead of M Crouch

We joke that with both the crouch brothers we have around 1.5 top Mitchells :)

Though that gap is getting closer

So what do the Crows do from here?

Rest players this week in what is likely to be a hot contest - Sloane, Walker, Jacobs ( I see O'Brien is out injured ) or, do they rest players and not send them to West Coast for the last game?

Looks like this for Adelaide : Sydney, West Coast, bye, home final, bye, home final. ( if the first final is won ).

So rest them this week and it's bye, play, bye, play, bye, play OR rest them last game and it's play, bye, bye, play, bye, play. ( Given the first final at home is won ).

That could mean only 2 games in 6 weeks going into a prelim, fresh, or flat?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

not sure to be honest...
I think they won't rest players due to the bye after the last round, but also will not play them if not fit i.e. Sloane's knee and Tex's foot don't come up for Syd.

No way will the Crows get cute. Last year they had the double chance sewn up and dropped it.

Why would the Crows rest players this week?
They have a chance to ensure they don't play the Swans first week of finals

Crows lose to Sydney this week, they are a good chance to play them first week of finals. They will be busting their guts to beat them. I'm sure they would prefer to play Richmond or Geelong first final

reckon we will play richmond - they have to drop one against either freo or st kilda to be knocked out of the top four and both of those teams look cooked

especially given they are one side (along with geelong) who always seem to beat us

I reckon St Kilda might be pretty keen to put in a decent performance for Mr Riewoldt in Round 23

Even if Adelaide lost both and Geelong win both the Crows finish top 2 so they've got two home finals stitched up now.

Seriously, when are these clowns going to "take the lid off"? Adelaide's flag to lose, been saying it for weeks.

They have proved they can lose form as quick as they find it. I don't think they will be winning any flags this year.

No they don't. Geelong will play GWS at Skilled Stadium first week of finals.

Reminds me of (sorry) 2007 when we were super cautious about taking the lid off. I reckon they might have a 'Collingwood moment' like we did in that Prelim. If they can get past the banana skin they should salute.

I'd buy a house in Guam before I'd buy that.

Take the lid off if we win the premiership, means nothing to finish the minor round top and then not win the Grand Final
