Interesting thread!

It's a toss of the coin to decide whether Perrie or Pettigrew are the biggest minda's to play 100 AFL games, but because it took Adelaide 10yrs to figure out Perrie was a numpty, he gets the nod..

Interesting enough, his Wiki page states ; "Perrie was initially thought to not have the skills required to be a consistent AFL Footballer." Only initially?!??

Both Adelaide-based sides contained a fair portion of 'list-fill' in their inaugural squads. Blokes like Alan Bartlett, Robbie Thompson, Jarrad Hocking, Jonathon Ross & Randall Bone for the Crows, and Jon Rombotis, Mark Conway, Ian Downsborough, Paul Geister & Jarrod Cotton for Port, just to mention a few. Both lists contained blokes past their prime for Crows (eg; Warhurst) and Power (eg; Hodges).

Harsh call on Squizzy Squire though, averaged 2 goals a game in his 2 matches and won 2 Magareys.

granted his last year he was passed it which was 96,but his years previous were pretty good.his leadership in those years couldnt be quantified by stats.toughest bloke who got everything out of his body possible.great leader!!!

I always thought that he played 100 games of AFL because he played for Glenelg. He certainly got the most out of his body and was a great leader no doubt. If he played for the Legs or the Pies he wouldn't have gotten a gig in Cornsey's 'Glenelg Lite' Crows (one reason I never barracked for them) and it was only the qualities which you described that got him as far as he did once Cornsey opened the door for him.

Having said all that he doesn't belong in this thread.

If Media Park's original qualification of a semi-decent run is used, Fiora probably doesn't belong on this thread as this fairy got a far-more-than-decent run. Thank christ Woodville-West Torrens didn't rescuit him when he was delisted. Luke Jarrad is not my favourite Eagles player compared to Powell, Lewis, etc, but he is at least 5 times as tough as this bloke.

I haven't gone thru all the pages but Brent Williams should get a mention. Pick 18 in the national draft of 1995 played 7 games in early 1997 and was never seen again.
