And how many times does he look like he's going to cry when the umpire doesnt give him a free kick, can play but fast becoming the player with the face you most want to smash

With blokes like Wingard and Thomas getting around the AFL need to step in before it ends up being like the soccer which everyone will admit is well over the top and a blight on the game

Thought a couple of times yesterday durin port game that the umps did well when the players flopped or threw their heads back to get a free. The Polec one was one where initial contact was actually on the shoulder but he threw his head back to make it look more obvious and no free was paid. What I hated this weekend was the deliberate out of bounds, clearly making a statement but now as soon as the ball goes over the line players open their arms and call for a free. I saw at least five called over various games where the kicker was penalised when kicking under pressure. The aim is to attempt to keep the ball in play IMO if an opposition has the chance to do this but let's it go over to try and get the deliberate its play on, so often this happens.

That no. 35 for Geelong looks all-right. where'd they get him from??

Good to see the Bays boys going well, Gregson and McCarthy in particular
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Don't worry there won't be a deliberate rule next year coz they will use the trialled SANFL version soon enough

Hawks in full flight continues to be one of the most watchable things in footy.

I've boticed a coupla times this round a defender looking to bring the ball back in after halftime, but the umpire has insisted they use the ball that had been in play immediately prior rather than another out of the bucket .. What's up with that?

Across the whole weekend umps need an education on how far 15m is, otherwise we may as well say any kick backwards is play on as these are the ones that seem to have to go at least 25 for the umps to pay a mark. Umpires just making up their own interpretation on the rules
