I may be on my own here but I think Finlayson has a bit to offer if it all clicks for him.

Not that stats are everything but purely based on stats his 2019 & 2021 output statistically was better than Marshalls

Well you gotta ask I guess.

Can't blame the crows for knocking that back.

Pick 17 is probably a good deal for them. Looks like they want that pick 4 but honestly is Dawson going to be that good?

ROWEY: “He’s explosive. He’s another Petracca.”

BICKS: “Exactly. If you streamline him a bit, get some kilometres into him… Is he someone you start to invest in straight away and say we’re going to make a midfielder out of you?”

ROWEY: “Great idea.”

How does he have a job as a footy commentator?

Just have a look at the date when reading all this stuff

If the Crows don't make this Dawson deal stick, or somehow wangle a deal to get Horne they are officially a joke!
If Dawson played his best footy to date away from family then how good could he be when he's settled in his hometown?

Or he gets comfortable and plays just average footy for a big wage.

Looking forward to seeing this all play out.

Expecting North to give up Horne is a joke mate. Would take massive overs and you could say that about every club if they don't get him...
Dawson gets done regardless if trade or PSD.

Given we've paid somewhere around pick 50 next year for him it's a no risk trade. Also, must be said, fair play to GWS for allowing him to move with ease, obviously they didn't see him as a must keep but they didn't make Port work too hard or keep him hanging.

Crows trade out :

23 37 44 62 66 future 4th round pick
Receive 33 75 and Melbourne future 1st

So trade out 23 this year for probably 20 odd next year. Negligible.

Turn 37 into 33 this year. Negligible.

Turn 44,62 and 66 into 75. Perhaps small loss.

Why?

Is it one persons specific role, if so they are just keeping themselves in a job with type of trade.
