Great win by Port on the weekend. I love going to Port games as an opposition supporter. I have never copped any crap from their supporters unlike the flogs supporters from the other SA team. They just seem to know their footy and don't carry on.

Agree Houston into the middle has been a good move. Kenny gets one right every now and then.

I reckon the Howard whack is just a fine.

Tom Hawkins would get a month, i reckon he'll have a 1 week holiday. I reckon Amon will too.
Neither deserve it though. Howard punch should be a free, Amon bump play on.

Can't be a free on a Monday, I don't think any of the umps seen it, should be a hefty fine but they've said they're stamping this shit out so a game it is.

Ken said Port are going to argue that the Howard incident was "in play"

Cop your week and move on.

Not sure why we are contesting Howard's week. I would be challenging Amon's suspension but not Doogs

I agree with you, is Amon missing a game a bad thing?

In previous years, no. This year, yes.

Drew and Ladhams in for Amon and Howard.

Ladhams before Ryder and Westhoff?
Interesting times for both of them.

Was made clear last week with the Magpies having the week off ( 3rd in 7 weeks - good scheduling SANFL ) that they'd play in the SANFL before any recall.

Yeah I heard Ken say that.
With the good win over Geelong and if Ladhams plays well this week, Ryder and Westy might be done and dusted unless injuries occur.

Will Rocky be ready?
I'd also like to see Frampton over Ladhams.

Rockliff will play SANFL too, I think.

Agreed, as the fwd/ruck I think Frampton is the better option, Ladhams the ruck option.

Really....REALLY...….. well that's gunna be a long wet afternoon at Prozzie on Saturday. Think we have a 17yo ruckman against Ryder, f**ken Peter Pickle Pepper will be running through the 80yo's in the middle of the stand & Rockliffe will be on 80 possessions at half time. At least we can laugh at Worstoffs beard.

SANFL scheduling is based on the AFL teams, no harsh blaming them

Port Magpies had 1st bye when Power went to China, that would have been requested by PAFC to ensure clubs focus was on the AFL experiment.

The byes are necessary in the SANFL to stretch out the season as we lost 2 rounds when the AFL teams entered in 2014.

The fixture is ridiculous. The state game is between round 6 and 7, then round 8 is a split round and round 11 is a split round. All sides would have had issues through this period with stop/start weeks off. Just have a weekend off all together. The split rounds are rubbish.

Bye, played, played, bye, played, played, bye.

I agree, but how does the SANFL align its season with the AFL if it doesn't have byes?
