???
you wouldnt pay overs for a guy who is not currently cracking the senior side, even if it is Hawks.
However you would pay overs to a guy who just got 2nd in your B&F

You pay Shoenmakers market value and at the moment, that would not be a great deal

Why pay overs for anyone? Pay what they're worth, then use the rest to bolster other areas that need attention.

I agree with that. I think the point (about Greenwood) is he had a breakout year so you need to pay him accordingly, not what he WAS worth in 2012/2013

One year doesn't mean you deserve a big contract. Woewodin had a pretty good year. How'd that turn out?

If he strung two or three years together, im sure they would've offered him more. When you take 7 years to have one good one, its a bit risky.

How many good years did Mr Tippett have as a crow before he got the big bucks?

Wasnt he the highest paid player there before he departed and that was purely on potential was it not?

Why didn't anyone tell Jars about this Phil bloke? ... and Clarko must be miffed missing out to a rookie.

Id say Tippett is getting paid way too much, and i think most people would agree. Another player thats played 1 and a bit good seasons and has cashed in on it.

Who knows how the new bloke will go but the Crows have followed AFL policy of hiring an assistant from the latest 'in thing' club

True.

Sanderson,Hinkley and McCartney came out of Geelong.

Richardson and Walsh out of Port.

Simpson from Hawthorn.

And from the 2004 flag ( early 00's at Port ), Clarkson, Walsh, Hardwick as senior coaches with players from that era in Carr, Lade, Primus, Dew, Brogan, Cornes, Guerra, Kingsley, Francou, Montgomery now in assistant roles.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

walsh is an interesting one given he only returned there this year, and in his presser and on 5aa he spoke glowingly about west coast but rarely about port adelaide.
