Blue Boy

maybe given the Hudson will be back fully fit next year and sharing the ruck duties with Biglands, maybe they should be looking at developing Meesen or Maric as a CHB

I am the biggest rap for Maric - he is a ruckman though. Havent seen much of Meesen he has a bigger frame though.

I still rekon Biglands as the key position plug and Mcgregor to go back.

my fear is that next year you may have Biglands, Hudson, Maric and Meesen vying for 2 ruck positions, and history shows that if young interstate recruits don't get the opportunities they may move back home to a bottom club chasing more opportunities

My understanding is Meesen played most of his Junior footy as a forward who did some ruck work, last year Norwood tried him up forward, maybe it was too early in his development, he may be a player they will try and develop in to a Tall Utility type

.

Could do with Meesen - Maric will be like a Josh Fraser type player but i reckon he will be a better ruckman.

We also have a young lad by the name of Johnathon Griffin who is 202cm.

Jason Roe of the Brisbane Lions is one that springs to mind given his emergence there over the last month. Know that he was on Collingwoods rookie list in 2003 and I always rated him very highly in his time here at North Adelaide so I'm not sure why its taken this long for him to get a chance at AFL level. Players with his guile, awareness and ability to hit targets 60 metres away with penetrating kicks don't grow on trees.
Joel Patfull of the Brisbane Lions has also forced his way onto the list and into the 22 and looks to be capable of being a keeper at this level.
How Danyle Pearce went undrafted is staggering in my book. Must have been put into the "too small" category.
Jacob Surjan is starting to show some form after being a rookie list selection of the Power in 2003.

Quentin Lynch, Brett Kirk, Dale Morris, Tarkyn Lockyer, Mark Johnson and Jason Johnson are other quality players that come to mind.
