Well done Craigy, held on to some dignity by doing so IMHO.

He clearly was not getting the best out of the playing group.

Apparently he had the full support of the Board, and his tenure was not in question .... 24 hours ago.

Even someone who only has a passing interest in the Crows (would be zero if I was not a South Australian) would be overjoyed by this news.
Bickley taking over, expected.
2012? Someone other than Bickley... Guaranteed.

If Bicks does alright, he could be groomed as the next long term coach of the AFC.

But next year, try for Clarkson, though I think there is no chance of it, same with the scuttle butt about Roos.

I don't know the answer, but I would love to see Nathan Bassett give it a crack.

Better chance they have now of beating Port.
We all know the % of a win the next week is higher when a coach stands down or is sacked.

Bicks has a pretty good track record in Showdowns.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

One of Craigs current assistants was bound to be interim for the remainder of the year.
No chance Bickley will get the role next year.
Be interesting whether Dangerfield plays this week.

Mwhahaahaha - an old bag on the ABC at the moment is blaming the AFL and its drafting process for Neil Craig's downfall.

Is exactly what they should do, but whether the "boys club" allows that to happen is another matter .. Will be interesting times for the club in the next 4 months or so.

Obviously when Trigg announced Neil Criag would be coach of Adelaide for as far as the eye can see. HE was referring to someone losing their eyesight in the next 3 months.

FFS. It's a myth. On the couch showed the stats of the last 10 or so times, and only 2-3 times the team with a new coach has won.

I wouldn't be suprised if we get smashed this week. Craigy still inspired loyalty amongst the playing group despite on field results. It will be very interesting to see how his departure effects them.

Thats the death knell

Craig saw the light. I didn't think he would go this week, but it was starting to look like a John Howard type saga.
At least Neil knew when the time was up.
