Boak may well be gone, but if he does re-sign with Port I doubt we'll see 11 pages as per Dangerfield.

Also, not sure Dangerfield's small role in the media makes much difference to how much attention he gets.

Not but as said previously the larger Crows fans base is why he recieved more media attention.

Any newspaper looking to exsist would be stupid not to cater to its larger readership demographic.

Not comparing the players, I'm just saying 11 pages is over the top for anyone.

Travis Boak

I think the theory that a few weeks ago when he went home he agreed to terms verbally with Geelong is correct. He has then come back to the Power since the week off and realised its going to be hard to leave and has started having doubts.

Either way it's a bad situation. If he does stay at the Power I don't see how he could be a future Captain after this. It has really hurt the club in my opinion.

he is currently a fill in captain, surely the club should remove this until his future is determined

Agree with that. He would go well in Geelongs midfield though.
Still for Geelong to send over those guys means they must be pretty keen. Might get a bit more cash out od Geelong now.

When a team has two players in the top 100 it's pretty big news if one of them are contemplating leaving.

Sadly LM your pretty well on the mark.

Boaky has massive potential, and would thrive in a sound midfield that offers protection for their best ball winner aka. WCE with Judd, Geelong with Ablett etc. Port dont have that ability atm which is why this scenario seems like a massive over-reaction.

I don't like players chopping and changing clubs as a rule.

If he was going to a Gold Coast or GWS club for big money, I would have an issue, because he would simply be leaving for money. Those are not the footballers I like or want to support.

If he does leave, and he leaves to Geelong (or any other Melbourne based club) with the reasoning of being closer to his family, who need his support and he does not want to be away from, then I have less of an issue.

For what it's worth, whilst I do not think the Premiership Window is open for Port, I think the club has players now that will be part of their next September push, and he would be very handy for them if still there, or very hard to replace if he goes.

He's an integral part of our look towards finals football in 3-5 years and we should heap guilt upon him if needed to keep him here. ;)

Is he really that good that he demands all this attention from other clubs Booney?
I only ask because I've only seen a few games of his this year and he hasn't been great.
