There was approx 1500 tickets not sold (where anyone with any allegiance could of bought) and yet the crowd was only approx 41500. So do you think the approx 7000 people who didn’t turn up were more likely to be the mostly Crows supporters who forked out money for tickets via Bass in the previous week (highly unlikely), so this means the majority of the supporters who didn’t turn up were Power season ticket holders, who have been missing in action all year! This is another point conveniently forgotten by Rucci, in his constant Crows bagging articles.
On top of this the point, which has already been made a lot of Crows fans are saving for much more important games in 2 home finals, rather than another minor round game. This is on top of all the other rising living costs, Petrol, Mortgage, Royal Show etc. If you had $40 to spare would you pay $39 to sit in the Northern Stand in the Showdown or attend the 1st final?

first point - OK port fans to blame also, but embarresing for SA footy that we cant sell out a Showdown, considering how they pack them in out West
second point - ill leave this topic for another day, but Im a AAMi stadium member Cat 1 yet i get counted in the Crows and Ports figures...WHY? all i want to do is go and watch the footy, I dont follow either team! you should be a member only when you pay extra over the top of your ticket to the footy
