Lets be honest, it never has been an all Australian team because most who make the all Australian side are either "injured" or not suited to the hybrid game so don't play. Some like the trip to ireland but they only go once or twice. By taking this path, those in charge have created some meaning for the concept and actually placed some pride in the jumper for the time being. It's a bit late to cry about perceived rascism because the opportunity has been there in the past and many have refused it

The answer to your question as you've conveniently worded it is of course, yes

But is that what an all-aboriginal team would be ... Australia's national team where white skinned people are denied the opportunity of playing for Australia? No.

We already have a National team for all sports that is not based on skin colour. Outside of the official national sides, in my mind you are allowed to make up teams however you want so long as the motivation is not racist referring to the definition I just posted. Who cares? Make an all red-headed team for all I care.

As we saw with the Adam Goodes Saga, the intention of the action doesn't matter, but how it is taken.
Given some people are offended by it, then the answer is clearly yes, it is racist.

Different laws/rules for different situations. We need a common law/ruling here.

Not if their was some reason for it or something to celebrate about being british. You would also have players of mixed ancestry represent the team e.g. andrew mcleod and his Scottish heritage, so it wouldn't be racist unless you said white players only.

Arguments like this really pi## me off, especially coming from the white middleclass MAJORITY.
AFL has something unique in that 10% of the players are indigenous, nothing close to numbers in society. Why not celebrate that fact and get behind them.
To suggest this is racism is absurd!
The indigenous youth need these roll models to represent their culture on the world stage and give them something to inspire towards. Nothing but a positive move, even though its in a micky mouse competition.
