Safe to say that one will be collecting dust in the footy archive room....

In fairness, the only way Richmond were going to win was 'ugly'. And against the ugliest team of all, Sydney, the game was never going to be highlight reel worthy.

Cotchin unlucky, only because that never gets called anymore, but then for it to happen not long after with Ted Richards and no call. To the umpires credit, the Cotchin call was right, even though it happens numerous times during the game for no whistle. Deliedio uncalled mark was bad, Franklin got held and tripped most if the night for one free.
To be honest, the bad umpiring was probably the highlight of the game.

Port bounce back with a resounding win.

19.14.128-8.8.56.

Jay Schulz outstanding with 8- equalled Tredrea's record for the most single goals in a match.

Bulldogs good early, Port very sloppy in 1st half; Port opened up game in 2nd half, Schulz a star, Bulldogs are a work in progress, but I think have a better chance with their list to make the finals before Carlton, St Kilda, and Brisbane.

Smashed by the Suns. Harley Bennell sensational tonight. End of an era for our boys, we are 7-8 at best which was my pre- season tip for us. Really need to see something from Chris Scott or he should move on.

Doesn't need too Locky- Aside from Chad Wingards 5 against Fremantle- I cant recall a port player kicking a half reasonable bag against a good side- but we get so many contributions that its unnecessary.

HT:

Freo 9.3
BL 0.1

Inside 50s are 41 to 5. The Lions sole score was rushed

Lowest HT score by a team in recent memory. Recall Fitzroy going scoreless against Essendon in 94 or 95.
