Talk on the national game

Very rarely beaten and far better around the ground than Sandilands & Jacobs. He rucks for 90% of the game & IMO is North's most important player. If he went down we'd be screwed.

I think Sandilands and Jacobs are the two stand outs, and for mine if one gets picked it's Jacobs.

Having said that, Goldstein and Lobbe have played a lone hand in getting their sides into the top 6. Sandilands gets support from Clarke and Jacobs from Jenkins. Goldstein and Lobbe get little chop out with Petrie/Brown and Trengove/Westhoff.

Yeah fair call that. Plays for any other club and he is a lock for the 40 man I reckon.

McKenzie has consistently beaten the best forwards in the game for the past two years yet out of sight out of mind.

Rance missed several games IIRC, I think if you miss any more than 5/6 you can't truly be considered.

No Ablett in your team then based on that??
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Agreed with those 2 and for me Jacobs has been the standout ruckman this year

Tough call, I think Ablett's 15/16 games would be considered much better than Rance' 15/16 games. Ablett is in for mine, just. Rance is out, just.

Thanks mate. Yeah Wasn't sure on the interchange spots. Harry Taylor could easily get in there too.

Yep I agree, looks good. I think the second key defender behind talia is the hardest spot to get. Almost everyone's forward lines are the same, at least 5 of them anyway.

Taylor no chance. We spent most of this year saying WTF is wrong with Harry? He's only come good in the last six weeks of the season and against Brisbane he hardly got a sniff of the pill.

Good stat that. Wouldn't mind betting that this is as high as he has gotten in that stat. Watching him play you just get the feeling that he kicks it away blindly a bit too often. On those numbers it's fair to say he does does deserve a gig. (Sits back down)

Isn't the main stat for KPD's, number of goals conceded? Or am i thinking out of line there?

Champion data records it i'm pretty sure. I haven't physically seen it however.

If it is a decisive number, then I reckon Harry is right up there. If other numbers really come into play, then its hard to see him get anywhere near the likes of McKenzie, Hooker and Talia.

Does Champion Data have a database/website where all statistics are displayed? I know there's the AFL website but they don't have stats such as goals conceded, kick retention rates and more in depth statistics that they record. I've gone searching before but have found nothing like it. If they don't have something like that they definitely should have it.

The rest of their data is proprietary I'm pretty sure. I tried looking for goals conceded on footywire too but couldn't find anything

Rockliff missed a few games.

Priddis number 1

Only 3 players in top 50 possession getters averaged more touches than him per game
