I was about to disagree with that part of the original post too but then thought better of it. It takes two teams to make it a blockbuster ;)

I wish Kennett would open his big gob again! These five goal losses aren't as much fun as the one kick wins. :)

5 games on ANZAC Day this year.
Saints v Carlton kick it off in NZ at 11am EST, then Collingwood v Essendon.
Yet to be named but a twilight fixture followed by two night games. Believe Port is hosting one of the night games. Would think there would be one in Perth and another in Melbourne

I may be wrong but I thought the RSL was against games before midday?
It is being reported that the RSL has agreed now but the early game wont be on FTA but Foxtel only.
Think because ANZAC Day falls on Saturday they have crammed more in

You'd assume the Port game would be against the Bulldogs

Don't we always play against Geelong on the Anzac round

Thought you played the Saints at home a couple times a few years back before they got the NZ gig

Rumours circulating that Port will open up the season with:

Fremantle (a), Tingles (a), Sydney (h), Hawthorn (h).

Could potentially start the season 1-3...

So you have 2 teams from above you and 2 from below. Spare a thought for GWS who face 4 teams from above them.
Luckily our draw is much easier, we start with 4 teams below us

More trying to dispel the theory that Ryder makes us flag favourites. We could be 3-1, or very easily 1-3.

Good news is we have the opportunity to draw 50k to our first 2 home games.

What are two teams that didnt make the 8 doing playing on a Friday night? Neither are likely to be in the 8 this year either, may as well have Bulldogs play Melbourne in prime time

Two teams that can get 85,000 plus to their games and will once again have quite a few Friday night games over the course of the season.
