Talk on the national game

"Deal with it" really?
So potential for top team to be scheduled Sunday twilight, and 4th team scheduled for Friday night, and they meet in the first final, 4th has two more day break leading into the game. "Deal with it".

The only fix without the bye would be to have all rd 23 games held on Saturday arvo, with all teams playing at their own state.

Like it used to be? Yeah, exactly, and they'd deal with it.

The AFL would schedule the following weeks finals accordingly. Precious.

Alright lol, you make a pretty good point there

Maybe schedule the games in order of ranking/ladder position e.g 1st plays Thurs/Fri night, 2nd Fri night, 3rd Sat arvo etc etc.

Did they "deal with it" or did they get their knickers in a twist?

Um...they got their knickers in a twist, hence the change with the floating rd23 fixture, then they even threw a bye in.

When you're prbaby going to have over 10 days between games I'll highly doubt an extra two will be a big deal

Makes no odds as it's all up the shit anyway with floating fixture AND the bye, but it worked just fine for 100+ years....

And if you think the AFL changed it for the clubs and not for broadcast purposes then your knickers must be twisted.
