How so?
If you dont register today you cannot get GF tickets.
Its the same for Collingwood members this week and the same for members of the two semi final winners next week.
I register today I get assured of tickets to the GF if Geelong make it.
If I dont register today I cant get tickets even if Geelong make it.
Its been like this for members of the Qualifying Finals winners (and semi winners a week later) for quite a while.
If you were a full member of a club thats made the Top 4 in recent years you'd be aware of the procedure.

If you register and are priority 1 the amount for the tix will be taken out of your credit card account if Geelong make it.
If you register and are priority 2 the amount for the tix will be taken out of your credit card if Geelong make it AND you are successful in the ballot.

Works for all clubs in this position this time of year exactly the same.

As for getting ahead of themselves? They play either the WCE or Carlton on the G in a week and a bit for a GF spot. Wedgie could buy his tickets today as far as I am concerned.

Geelong have the Premiership to lose IMO. They're the team to beat.

You better jump on Booney!
Geelong $2.75
Collingwood $1.87

Personally I think the bookies have it right.
We're not even the favourites let alone sure things.

My only bet on the Cats for this season was just to make the Top 8 so I'm in front. :D

TSG, you posted that before Sydney got rolled, so you've only got six teams to choose from... Pick one, put it on your profile, and display your club colours proudly...

westozfalcon wrote:Chris Scott lacks charisma and this will have an adverse affect on the team. He may have significant tactical knowledge but a coach needs to have the ability to inspire a team. In Geelong's case we're talking about a team that has lost the services of the best player in the league.

Under Scott, I can't see the Cats covering for the loss of Gary Ablett and my tip is for them to miss the 8.

Vardy, Menzel, Duncan, Christensen, West.

These five names are not works in progress, they are five ready-to-go AFL footballers that weren't on the radar at the start of the 2011 season.
I wonder if any sports writer/commentator will have the stones to say that Geelong 2012 is too old too slow... ;)

EDIT: Michael Voss has announced the Cats premiership window closed.
