Very tall forward line Walker Fogarty Himmelburg Mcasey Lynch

Not much defensive pressure coming from those 5

Hartigan out, so would think McAsey will play back.

The AFL has become increasingly frustrated at Richmond players for some weird, wacky requests and bills that have been sent to league HQ.
Other clubs are aware of the AFL’s frustrations in Queensland as the league does its best to keep the season running.

One high-ranking club official said: “The AFL is off them massively. Self-entitlement is huge.”

It was a Richmond person who inquired about bringing a puppy to Queensland, which prompted the AFL to issue a strict edict last month to clubs telling them this is no holiday.

It’s also understood at least a few Tigers players asked the AFL to reimburse them for Coles online orders too.

Foxfooty.com.au has been told things have calmed down in the last fortnight, but the AFL was privately seething at some of the requests earlier on in the hub stay.

Nine journalist Sam McClure on Wednesday said the AFL was “fed up” after some players had put in requests for carpenters to alter apartments, as well as asking the league to cover costs for extra orders from Coles Express.

The AFL Players’ Association indicated to foxfooty.com.au it wasn’t aware of such desires, adding it wasn’t privy to what clubs are requesting of the AFL.

Fourteen of the league’s 18 AFL clubs have relocated to hubs in order to keep the 2020 season alive. Most of them are based in Queensland, with two teams also rotating through Perth-based villages.

Five clubs last week were issued with significant fines after members of their respective travelling parties breached the AFL’s COVID-19 protocols.

Port Adelaide legend Warren Tredrea pointed to recent comments from New Zealand-born NBA centre Steven Adams, who recently told reporters of life inside the league’s Orlando bubble: “Let’s be clear, mate. This is not Syria, mate. It’s not that hard … We’re living in a bloody resort.”

Tredrea said the AFL players “need some perspective”.

“They’re the first to put their hands up and whinge and want extra. I mean what are they paying for at the moment? They’re paying for their mortgages and that’s it. They’re not paying for the cost of living. They’re actually able to still get paid 50 per cent of their salary and it looks like, I’m hearing, they might not even be deducted next year if we can get through this,” Tredrea told Wide World of Sports’ ‘Talk Of The Town’.

“Football season’s going on, yes they’re keeping everyone involved, but they’re keeping themselves involved too.

“I think as footballers, you lose perspective very quickly on how tough life is. You might’ve dropped from $800,000 to $400,000 – well go and have a look and walk the streets of Melbourne at the moment, look at the unemployment queues and Centrelink.

“Good luck and grow up.”

Each hub has a barista on site and food provided for staff and players.

It was Richmond’s senior players who were most vocal in the AFLPA’s giant phone hook-up earlier this year about the prospect of spending a prolonged period in hubs.

It’s understood several Richmond players are on a significantly reduced income for the back-half of the season because their annual payments were heavily front-ended before COVID-19 struck.

The annual front-ended practise is not unusual at wealthier clubs, which can afford to pay players in bulk before Christmas or over the summer.

But now all footballers are making 50 per cent of their annual wage, some players are literally getting paid a few thousand dollars from May through to October after receiving bulk coin pre-COVID-19.

Asking for renovations on rented accommodation is the cherry on top for how out of touch the players side of the industry are.

Geez Richmond are copping it in the you know where, pun intended.
If Hugh Rimington and Dimma were in the same room at the press conference I reckon there would've been a massive Barney off camera.
Trust a journo to pull out the race card.
Anyone else see it?

From what I saw the media manager jumped in and said, we won't be answering any more questions on that. Just footy questions.
Dimma was seething!
Rimington basically asking.... are you lot racist bullies.
Short was involved, he's not white.
Absolute wanker.

Sure, it's one of several the club has worn, when you've been around 150 years you have quite a history.

Love our Dreamtime guernsey for the Darwin game.
Unfortunately it will resemble red and black witches hats against the Tigers
