he didn't snipe tonight. he kicked goals instead.

Irrelevant. Umpire cost them a goal in a 1 point game - period.

No
Kicking 7 goals in 3 quarters of football after kicking 5 in the first cost them the game

No, ball goes like it WOULD HAVE through and rich win. Whatever happened before is irrelevant.
What if it was your team Jim or Q. ?

We lost 2 finals in 96 by 1 point.
It sucks and of course no one likes to see a game decided like that.
But it shouldnt have got to that point, Richmond should of blown them away, they were poor after quarter time and were lucky the margin was so close. Scoreboard flattered Richmond tonight, Freo dominated them

Is it just me or are Fox starting to over analyse matches with 15 commentators or analysts per match?

Pretty fair assessment in a lot of ways, we went back to the real dark days of the past with some terrible decision making and skill errors.

If it was my team I would be biased and say it would have been a goal.

Ball hit the ump in the nuts which were centred with the post.

I was watching a different game then, agree to disagree.
(I did pick freo and have them anchoring 2 multi bets).

I dont think they can review a non-decision...
Had the umpire called it a point then it could have been reviewed, but as no decision was made there was nothing to review... Tis a pity though because i thought it was a goal for sure.

It wasn't a goal...the umpire had his legs on each side of the line and the ball bounced straight up. The rule states the ball remains in play even if it touches the umpire...the umpire only called it a point when the Freo player crossed the line so it was umpired to the letter of the law. No review was required there.

If the umpire was not in the way....who knows.
