For Port, Butcher showed some good signs and Impley was very impressive for a new kid.

Mr Carter they might have gone all right today but they are horseshit. If they win a game interstate this year I'll buy a Hawthorn membership for my Cat.

You're entitled to your opinion, I bet you said the same about Port at this time last year. I think you're wrong.

I'm pretty sure Hinkley won't mind how many "good" wins Port have once the real stuff starts - as long as they win. Pre-season trials with nothing on the end of it mean stuff all. The Cows are the only team who took it seriously and now they expect to be flag favourites

Why do port supporters always say that crows supporters think they're flag favorites. It's utter rubbish. I just can't wait til all your smugness is gone after the showdown

Its not just port supporters.
In saying that I wouldn't put my house on the crows winning the showdown.

Just remember Adelaide- when you're 4 goals up with 5 minutes to go, it's not game over :D

Adelaide oval is renowned for a bit of turn ;)

Port certainly surprised a lot of people last season and full credit to them. Where do you see the Saints finishing this season? Spooners for mine 16th at best. McEvoy, Milne and Dal Santo are gone. Rising midfielder Steven is out for eight to ten weeks. They got a new coach at a very inopportune time during the iff season.

The Saints list is a total tear down and nothing like the list profile of Port 2013 who had managed to successfully retain a number of key players.

Yes, you may be right about where they'll finish the season somewhere between 15th and bottom I suspect. But,they are not HORSESHIT and I think they will surprise a few sides. That's all I'm saying.

Might get a sudden influx of Port Posters since The Power From Port recently shut down...

Announcement

It is with much regret that we have to announce the closure of our site. It has not been an easy decision to make. I have wanted to shut the site down for some time but whenever I started to think about it, it became too hard to do...

Surely with the amount of loyal, died in the wool, passionate, devoted, never say die power people out there - a small handful could pick up the slack........

Sorry mate but 15th and last is horseshit. I think they'll surprise very few sides. Except Carlton. ;)

Talking to a few Crows supporters on the weekend, they seemed to think they were flag favourites

Well, if you don't rate Port then you'll unlikely claim Port and GWS as "good wins" for Adelaide, yes?

Who cares that much about pre-season results other than when players get injured. This week the real stuff starts and you can make comment after the Carlton game on Sunday if Port have prepared themselves well.

Is Eugene Warrior the right guy to lead the Power Academy given his last few weeks coaching in the SAAFL saw him reported and suspended for umpire abuse and having a physical go at people well after the end of the game (non-finals too)?
I've heard good things about his development side though.

Jarrad Redden placed on the long term injury list and Brent Renouf upgraded off the rookie list.

I suspect Port will play two ruckmen against Carlton this week then.
