So if he resigns he will lose money?

But if he gets sacked he'll make plenty?

Yep, unless they come to an agreement.
If Carlton sack him he gets paid out his reported $600k. If he quits he gets NADA!
Perhaps they will come to an arrangement where if he goes gracefully they will pay him half or something but I reckon it will get ugly

Only kidding, but someone very soon will hopefully post these words

Some white knight to cough up the cash?
They will be tin rattling by years end the way they are going, perhaps North can buy them out this time around

Your dislike of Carlton is obvious. The club won't fold as you'd hope just as your club won't as I'd hope. The difference is the ticking time bomb that could rear its ugly head in the next 5, 10, 15 or more years by the negligent drugs that your management allowed the players to be subjected to. I'm hoping not for those innocent young lads sakes.

Everyone knows the mutual hatred our clubs have for each other.
Both sets of supporters would want nothing more than for the other to fold.
The differance is despite all our troubles our fans are staying loyal. Carlton on the other hand have 1 bad year and the fans are jumping off. Losing money hand over fist and giving out two for one tickets to games. Imagine if your fans had 3 years of crap like ours, you would of had to shut the doors by now

Reckon we've had more than 3 years of crap. It's been going on since 2001. When we made the finals under Ratten we weren't premiership contenders. Our culture had been non existent for years. Malthouse won't be sacked because too many ego's are on the line. This supporter/member will never jump off no matter what

Played finals two years ago and actually won a final. We last won a final 14 years ago yet our membership and attendance hasnt declined and has actually increased.
That was disgraceful to get 16k to a home game no matter how bad you are going, the club needs the fans more than ever ATM, Seven mention earlier that the club lost $200k on that game yesterday

At Etihad with 2 teams that are struggling reckon will attract 35k. Down on what would be normal.

Regardless the club will be fine long term. The difference is that your club is going through a period of difficulty that has galvanised your support as a sign of defiance against the AFL/ASADA. At the end of the day the AFL is a different beast these days. Neither of our clubs will be at the pointy end for some time. I'd like us to make some 'difficult' choices and trade for some top end picks and rebuild. If that means we finish bottom so be it, we have the pick of the draft and hopefully we make the right choice

The club standing on its own two feet and making a stance against the wealthy backers would be a start too. Surely there are enough members/supporters who could organise a board spill. At the moment the club is just a play toy for the Pratt's and Mathiesons, they choose the board, the coach and everything else in that club. Whilst they run the show not much will change

All tennants of Etihad bar Essendon require atleast 26k to break even there, its a Geelong home game so they would be banking on 35-40k at a minimum

The 'side effects' sensationalism has no meaning. The stuff they used generally has half-lives of just a few hours.

Really don't get this mentality. Makes no sense to me.

I would love to give the power a spanking in a grand final, but I honestly wouldn't want them to fold.

Has a lot to do with a long history of being enemies on and off the field. The fans hate each other, very tribal still and goes back many generations.

Of course I get that. But wanting complete description of a club off the field rather than purely on it is ridiculous imo.
