Carlton’s list is better than Essendon, crows and st Kilda IMO yet they are in the 8.
With minimal injuries we should be entrenched in the 8 not outside of it.

The club has accepted mediocrity for far too long and needs to be harder on the players when they lose.
There are players on the list earning $600-$800k who would struggle to make the 18 in most other sides.
These players need a kick up the arse to start with.

Midfield is one paced and thin on depth and there's no elite kickers, Cripps, Walsh, E Curnow, Kennedy, Hewett, Cerra etc doesn't matter how good the front or back half is.

Yep we lack genuine speed all over the ground and elite ball users.
Walsh, Cripps and Cerra get plenty of it but more often then not miss the target.

Did you see on Insta that Carlton bloke pouring his heart out and giving the club a massive spray. Imagine if the bloke barracked for St Kilda over the years.

Hard not to like the team that’s been bullied for 10+ years.

Two blokes likely to be delisted at the end of the year I see it as a free kick

McAdam? Really?

Dow won't be delisted, actually I take that back, we're stupid enough to do this.

Not sure if there is any point keeping him if he isn't ever going to get a game when in vfl form.

Voss got appointed 31 games ago, they scream out for change and then change and then change and wonder why it's always changing. Idiots.

Voss has to be in charge til the end of 24.
Then we reassess whether he can actually coach.

Like most levels of footy its not your top 5 players that make you successful, there are some seriously ordinary footballers that have multiple premiership medals because they simply played their role and were better than the oppositions 17-22nd player on game day - this is where success comes from.

Unfortunately for Carlton it’s our mid tier players who aren’t up to it.
The 100 gamers.
Our top 5 are elite and bottom 5 are like any other teams, it’s the players in between that who aren’t performing

Correct! 31 games.... Teague was similar as were the coaches before him. Change does not bringeth success. Geelong stuck with Thompson, Richmond with Hardwick. Give him time FFS. Problem is that we're running out of time before Cripps becomes pension eligible and goes to Geelong.

lol falling to pieces again.

-----------------------

The first casualty of Carlton’s dismal start to the season is set to fall with a high-profile board member expected to quit this week amid reports of discontent within the club.

SEN’s Tom Morris and Seven’s Tom Browne report that Craig Mathieson could hand in his resignation as early as Monday.

Mathieson was part of president Luke Sayers’ cohort who wanted Ross Lyon as head coach. Lyon, however, rejected the Blues’ advances before Michael Voss was appointed.

7 News Melbourne journalist Browne reported via Twitter that Mathieson in the Blues’ rooms on Friday night had “heated discussions” with Sayers, who considered the verbal altercation as “below professional standards of what is expected”. Mathieson’s outburst reportedly led to him quitting the board.

The Herald Sun’s Mark Robinson, meanwhile, reports there is increasing concerns within the club regarding list management, spending, player development and coaching appointments.

The development comes amid a disastrous run of results for Voss and the Blues who have lost six of their last seven games including a 26-point defeat at the hands of the Swans on Friday night.

The Blues were woefully inaccurate against Sydney with star duo Harry McKay and Charlie Curnow managing just one goal between them from nine shots on goal.

It prompted stinging criticism from AFL legend Jason Dunstall.

“Make no mistake – poor kicking for goal is poor football,” Dunstall said on Fox Footy.

“Clubs keep telling us and we keep hearing it whenever clubs are asked and players are kicking poorly – ‘oh no, he’s doing the work’.

“What work are they doing because it doesn’t change from one week to the next.”

Voss, meanwhile, conceded the Blues’ goalkicking woes had played a major part in the result.

“It’s pretty disappointing to be in this situation where you feel like you’ve had lots of chances,” Voss said after the match.

“I loved aspects of our game we played tonight, it was more us than anytime throughout this year, but there are some simple things in the game that we need to make sure we get better at and that’s finishing.

“In this particular instance it has ultimately cost us the win.

Yep an email was sent to members this morning confirming it.
He was due to finish in 2024 under the maximum length of the term of his position anyway so he is leaving a year early.
Email doesn’t say why he’s leaving though.
The sh*t show continues………..

12 goals should be enough against your mob.
You just know it’s a game Essendon will drop here.
