Why do you think they are a terrible band?

Don’t like their music at all, very overrated IMO but each to their own

Fair enough Jimmy, I don't think not liking a band's music makes them terrible though.

Simon Black just saying that night time at the GABBA in October will be worse for dew than now. It wont be a great look for the showpiece of our game.

I wonder if they could install big fans around the GABBA, given it wont be a capacity crowd some seats could be removed and fans installed. It would only take 2 or 3 of them. Fans like we have in the Barossa for protection from frost, i really think its doable. Before anyone says it would effect the flight of the ball, it wont, its only a light breeze, just enough to keep the air moving

It's not the best option for the GF. No doubt there, but I'm pretty sure this deal was done up front in QLD allowing the teams to be up there.

How many rain soaked GF’s have we watched over the years at the MCG?
Plenty.

Really?
Its the one I never worry about rewatching even though it was close the minor round game at Etihad earlier that year was better even though Geelong lost.
2007 and 2011 get a lot of runs though.

I enjoyed 2002 more than most. It was a bit of a scrap but at the same time a very good match.

05 & 06 were dour struggles, edge of the seat stuff even if you were a neutral observer.

Yeah I loved it, epic slog with the winner and Norm Smith medallist being debated for all bar the last minute of the game. Great atmosphere in the pub that day, everyone was engrossed and riding every play.

I was at the game barracking for Collingwood expecting them to get whitewashed. Awesome atmosphere and great contest.

I honestly can't even remember where I was for the 2009 GF it was that much of a non event for me. I can remember the toe poke and chappy goal but that's about it, never had an inclination to re-watch it. Norm Smith never really interests me.

2011 had everything, Meatloaf  , Geelong being written off 12 months earlier when Ablett and Thompson left, Varcoe's goal in the first 15 seconds, Collingwood almost with a match winning lead in the 2nd quarter, Podsiadly going off injured in the 2nd, Cloke kicking 60 metre goals from the boundary and Hawkins finally stepping up and taking the game by the scruff of the neck.

Enjoyed the Dogs win and enjoy watching Richmond play, 2018 was a ripper too. Most of Hawthorns, Sydney, West Coasts wins bored me, even the draw and follow up did too. I'd probably have to go back to the 90s for more decent games after those I mentioned.

I was at the game in 2011 wondering if Meatloaf sounded as bad on TV as he did at the ground. I remember my punting partner putting a big syndicate bet on Collingwood (I was OK with backing them, but not at the amount invested). Messaged him during the game saying Geelong's bigger midfield bodies were too much for the Pies counterparts. He went out and loaded up on the Cats at halftime, for himself but not our syndicate
