Clearly Lever has said to someone who mentioned it to the media that his response was pretty aggressive otherwise how do we even know about a conversation between two people. Lever opened up the conversation to the media so Walker does have the right to discuss what he said.

Walker can say whatever he likes about it, but the more he says the more it will be discussed and highlighted.

Could be time to get a bit more professional and concentrate on things within your control and influence and rinse out the bitterness.

Its the only time I have actually heard anything from him about it and it was a direct question. Agreed if he now goes on about it after he has said his side its unprofessional but you cant knock him for answering direct questions.

Not at all. Its out there in the media regardless of where it comes from so he has the right to respond - I am more talking about the direct conversation and so called text messages from Walker to Lever. He is allowed to say that these things were not true.

I agree. The Crows should focus on making amends for this year's GF effort and stick it up Lever in the best way possible by going one better, rather than pissing and moaning about his departure in the media. Easier said than done though, given the tight relationship between the Crows and the media. Then again, no-one's put a gun to anyone's head to speak, and the speculation and media fascination with Lever-gate will diminish once pre-season training comes around and journos can talk about something else like cricket.

can you show me where exactly we have "pissed and moaned"?

except for initially saying we will try and get the best deal for the football club they haven't said anything at all. In fact yesterday Josh Mahoney said the crows were being constructive in trying to get him to melbourne

I think Jimmy Bartel agrees.

On AFL Trade Radio Jimmy said :

"You haven't had success either. You've made a grand final, that's it. Individually, you've been All-Australian captain and you've had some good years, but you haven't had success.

"So there's no guarantee that you will. There's no guarantees in this game that just because you played in a grand final, doesn't mean you're going back and winning it next year.

"We even have premiers that can't even get back into the finals. So where's the guarantee there?"

"(Walker) wants loyalty in a one-way street. He's very happy that (Tom) Lynch and these sort of guys arrive at the Crows, but no one's allowed to leave," he said.
