No I totally agree. Wouldn't sell the farm but a more than handy pick up and a significant upgrade if we could get him.

Of the two ( Motlop and Rockliff ) both are restricted.

I would doubt Geelong would play hard ball on Motlop, I think Brisbane would ( by matching any offer ) to Rockliff.

If Brisbane get Band 1 they won't match

Has Toumpas got another year on his contract to go?

Will be a decent turn over at Port in the next 18 months :

2017 :
Likely -White, Monfries, Krakouer
Perhaps - Ah Chee (trade request), Trengove(FA),Pittard(FA), Neade

2018 :
Likely - Lobbe, Toumpas
Perhaps - Westhoff

You would think Monfries, White & Krak will all be finished at the end of the season so can't see the harm in bringing him in. Instead of Rockliff, i would rather a Gibbs type. We won't get Gibbs as we would have to trade for him but someone else of his calibre and can play a bit more on the outside.

Whats the deal with Krakeour? Haven't really seen him this year but have always rated his ability - Is he falling short, or just other (younger) players have moved ahead of him?

Got suspended in the AFL pre-season, rolled and ankle, hurt his foot, hasn't got back to full fitness and, from what I've seen, hasn't been particularly convincing.

Booney spot on the money there. Plus the emergence of other guys such as Houston, Johnson, Bonner & so-on, he is well down the pecking order. Monfries is well ahead of him and is battling to get into the side due to his age so Krak would need a massive amount of injuries to get a look in. Unfortunate as i loved his game, but can't see him playing another game at the top level

These guys aren't even in the 22, hardly keeping him out.

Houston and Johnson have played AFL this year, Bonner finished '16 in the AFL side....as such, they're ahead of him.

He might, but he's no Tom Williamson.

He certainly isn't.
We'll keep Tom thanks and you can keep Jim.

Hearing Monfries is going to be in the final 22!

Interesting decision when only last week Hinkley said he needed a couple of weeks of solid footy in him before he came into the team. Magpies had a bye last week

Agree with the above. Thought the Maggies bye might rule him out for this week, but as the season has gone on, i have had a feeling his first game would be this weekend. Come in and do a job on Smith or Laird then have a block of 3 more weeks leading into finals. Could be wrong, just the way i have seen it.
