None of the AFL fans were Brisbane fans though, all Victorian teams. A lot of expat Victs in business and govt sectors up there similar to Canberra.
Didn't spend any time with tradies or outer 'burbs where the League element is probably strongest.

Brisbane locals are barely interested in the Lions, it really is a second form of entertainment for them as opposed to a fanatical supporter base.
Brisbane locals aren’t really interested in any sport. They love the Broncos when they are winning but jump off quickly when they aren’t. Their pathetic cricket crowds are joke and if Australia didn’t have such a great record at the Gabba they would have lost their test ages ago

Paul Puopolo and Ben Stratton have both announced their retirement and will be given a farewell them on Sunday

I can understand Puopolo but I thought Pinchy still had a bit left in him.

If Adelaide lose to Richmond by 30 odd points North have to lose to West Coast by about 100 to come bottom.

We have come from nowhere!

I forgot we have Essendon's 2nd rounder so that gives us currently 4 picks inside 25, with potential trades to further improve this position, critical we get these picks right.

Sadly I’m a little bit meh about this years draft. With the Vic kids getting little to no games it’s hard to gauge. The SA talent looks very average this year but next year looks to be potentially a real good one so I wonder if teams will try to bolster their future picks

Sounds like the big fish coming through the war chest didn't work too well.

Was this before, after or during the exhaustive search?

The clubs in "rebuild" mode, Adelaide, North and Hawthorn, is there anyone at any of those clubs in the 26-28 year old age bracket that clubs would be asking the question of?

If you're heading into a 3-5 year rebuild at 26, 27, do you want to be there? ( just to name a few )

At North :

Brown, Atley, Wood...

At Hawthorn :

Shiels, Gunston, Wingard....

At Adelaide :

Seedsman, Brown, Laird...

The winner of Port / Geelong goes into the soft(er) prelim probably getting Brisbane, West Coast or the Bulldogs. The loser will have to go through Richmond in the other prelim.

*cough* nafe says gday.

If Port are a bit off we could take them.
We'd have to sharpen our ball handling in the dewy conditions though.
Bloody terrible at times tonight.

I'd be happy to play Richmond in a final. Fridays loss wasnt a shock. The lack of moves wasnt a surprise.
Richmond arent that good.

I have no qualms if we get to play Port here. They'll be $1.20 and have all the pressure on them.

Still looks like West Coasts flag from here.
