Reckon they must have thought about matching it for a whole 0.00001 seconds.
Essendon have lodged the paperwork work McKay, 6 years at $750k+ which will get North pick 3.
Also lodged paperwork for Goldy

I guess the key is that when you are an ordinary side you get the better compensation.Booney wrote:Lance Franklin compensation - Pick 19
Tom Doedee compensation - Pick 19
Steve Motlop compensation - Pick 19
Well, there you go.

You can apply to the AFL for an exemption.Armchair expert wrote:Wait a second, don't you have to take a first round pick every 3 years? Port would need to trade back in this year or next year I think.
Or did that rule go when Geelong were rorting everything with the help of Steve sHocking

3x first rounders for pick 4?

Seems to be a common belief that the draft quality drops a fair bit after the first 5 picks this year. Dogs obviously have targeted a player and the later picks are handy for Croft who is a F/S rated highly. Suns get the picks needed for their academy players so a win for both possibly although it’s a steep price paid IMOBooney wrote:Armchair expert wrote:Dogs get pick 4
