Yeah, is it the MCG of MFG?

Good luck maintaining the oval without the income from footy.

I don't have to.

I think it's poor planning all round though, sure CA could have the season wrapped up so it doesn't clash with footy and vice versa, bye rounds and crap aren't required IMO, not with lists of 40+ players.

Id be p.....d off if I was a Brisbane player & imagine how annoyed the coach would be.

The team at the top of the ladder after 7 rounds was PROMISED a home final by the AFL & now they head to Metricon, cos they cant play at the
Gabba, 3 weeks after the Adele concert? & they only have to play 15 minute quarters FFS.

Adelaide had the audacity to try & get the game played in Adelaide, & they finished 2nd behind the undefeated Brisbane for god sake.
Just imagine the uproar from S Rowe & Co if the shoes were on the other foot & they were taking the game from Adelaide Oval,
well Adele had only played in Adelaide less than 2 weeks before?

The women were playing at Darebin last year & that's pretty rugged + other suburban grounds but oh no now they cant play at the Gabba?

How good would it be if Brissy didn't turn up for the game in protest - that would show them.

I hope Brisbane belt the Cow girls now, Its only a Mickey Mouse comp anyway so who cares & who will be watching - I certainly wont its too crud!

I'm sure any other club would have also asked the question about having the game played at their home ground. That suggestion has been mentioned in regards to the Sheffield Shield final where Victoria cannot play at home but in Alice Springs

It's too crud yet you can write a very decent length post about it

The ground condition isn't just due to the Adele concert but also the truck load of rain they have had. Hardly the AFL's fault

The grand final is now a curtain raiser to a curtain raiser. A NEAFL game will be played after the grand final and before the men's AFL game

Tense last 5-10 minutes, and you couldn't question the commitment or will to win of either side. Skills need to improve, which I'm certain they will with time

Fantastic effort by the girls winning the premiership in year one and congrats to Erin for winning the BOG award & player of the year award too.

Another premiership for the trophy cabinet at AFC :)
