John Butcher is the worst AFL player I think I have ever seen.

I actually feel a tad sorry and embarassed for him - he struggles to get a kick and when he does it looks like he has never handle a football before in his life. How this bloke is a professional AFL player is beyond me.

Is it just me, or are the umps letting people throw or drop the ball now without penalising them?

I've seen some great tackles, and after being swung around 720 degrees the guys just dropped it or thrown it 15m away, and its play on. I turned 2 games off because it was shitting me so much.

I saw a total of about 15 mins of footy over the w/end so cant comment, but certainly this was happening last season too. Incorrect disposal doesn't seem to be in the rule book anymore.

They haven't paid a free kick for incorrect disposal for a few years now. Priority is to keep the game flowing, which in general is a good thing, but sometimes it is a bit stupid when they don't pay it

There never was a rule for incorrect disposal, if the ball comes out in the tackle its play on.

There definitely is a rule for incorrect disposal. If you run 30m with 2 bounces and get chased down and just drop the ball, its holding the ball every day of the week.

What 'category' does a throw come under. Holding the Ball?

Players do not have to successfully handball or kick the ball, but must demonstrate to the umpire they are making a genuine effort to dispose of the football.

How so?
I said there was no rule for incorrect disposal and there is a rule for holding the ball, thought it was clear enough but obviously not for some.
The ball can come out in a manner of ways from a tackle legally not necessarily from a handball or kick.
I reiterate there is no rule for Incorrect Disposal.
There is a rule for holding the ball.
I've laughed at ignorant people for years screaming out dropping the ball or incorrect disposal and will continue to do so.

So unless I am reading it wrong, the rule specifically mentions incorrect disposal wedgie. Page 50

15.3.2 Incorrect disposal and Payment of free kick

But Wedgie comes back with a forehand smash down the line. Fantastic play from these 2 champions.

But here comes bennymacca down the outside with a lunge on the line.
