God i hope we dont get Frawley, more than happy for Geelong to get both of them.

What will the Crows give us for Shoenmakers? 2nd round pick? I think we may have some interest in Lyons.
Greenwood also on our radar, remains unsigned for a reason.

Before this season most clubs wouldn't have given a burnt piece of toast for Greenwood

Does anyone else think Mitch Clarke shouldn't be allowed to leave Melbourne? I know there will be jokes about being depressed and at Melbourne that would make it worse BUT from a club point of View Melbourne invested a lot in Mitch and he just throws it in there face when he was happy to take the big $$$$ 18months ago.

I believe he should be made to stay or play VFL.

When he wanted to leave Brisbane his reasoning was a return to Perth for family reasons, bugger me and the money on offer from Melbourne has him go to the bottom feeding Demons.

Then they stick by him through thick and thin with not only his physical injuries, the foot that could have derailed his career and it seems in a very generous and understanding manner through his battle with mental illness. I also think he and his management were very accommodating towards the Demons regarding contracts and monies.

Now he feels fit to return to the game he's looking to leave Melbourne. All jokes aside and with all due respect to the guy for taking the steps he did for is own health, surely his worth the the world of AFL is severely diminished on the back of two pretty average decisions to leave one club for another. IMO.

You would have to think any club would get him pretty cheap.

Gold Coast have sacked Guy McKenna as coach following a full review of their football department.

Under pressure following the club's limp finish to the AFL season, McKenna faced the Suns' directors a fortnight ago, but is believed to have failed to convince them he was the right person to take the club forward.
Speculation is now rife the club will make a play for dual premiership coach Mark Thompson, who stood-in as Essendon's caretaker coach this season.

He has since handed the reins back to James Hird, who was suspended for 12 months over the Bombers' 2012 supplements program.

Gold Coast's review was overseen by football operations manager Marcus Aschcroft and was prompted after the club missed the finals by losing six of their last seven matches.

Contracted for a further 12 months, McKenna was the foundation coach at the expansion club and oversaw a steady improvement after the Suns joined the league four years ago.

Gold Coast spiralled to 12th after being entrenched in the top eight for the first 15 rounds.

The Suns started impressively to be 7-2, and were also 9-6 before skipper Gary Ablett suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in a courageous win over Collingwood at Metricon Stadium.

Completely differant, Little will pay it out of his or the clubs pockets.
The AFL cant find a spare million or so to run a reserves comp but they keep sinking money into their pet projects.

What makes you think the AFL will pay the $200k for McKennas contract?

The same way they paid out Neeld's contract at Melbourne and stumped up the money to pay for Roos and the same way they will pay for Bomber if he goes there.
Everything at the Suns is subsidised by the AFL
