Talk on the national game

Boomer said in his statement he didn't want to be a part of the press conference because he would get too emotional. Players call, not the club.

People have been giving us stick all year about the age of our list, now we cut that significantly and still wrong?

its more the way they went about it.

Press release then a conference with the coach only and no players?

Compare to how swanny went out at collingwood...

Think they've made the right call for the future (Boomer aside), but not sure about how it's been done .. Kinda saying to them "we dont think you'll be part of our next flag" whilst heading into a finals series tying to tell the group "cmon boys we can win this thing"

I reckon Spud Firrito could get reported up to about 8 times in the match against GWS and he won't give a rats. I give North a massive chance in this game playing on sentiment and emotion which could frazzle the young Giants lads.

The other option is to lie to the players about their future and then drop it on them after the last game.

He's played forward for Weribee all year and has been good. They played him in the back lines last week in their final match, had 12 touches and apparently read the play & marked well. Has been down the order behind Brown, Petrie, Waite & Daw which makes it tough to get a league spot. With players finishing this year he'll be in the mix in 2017.
Along with Ed Vickers-Willis, Mitch Hibberd & Ryan Clarke, Durdin is in the young group hopefully to take North ahead.

Thanks mate, being a Westies boy I was wondering how he was going. Has a lot of talent but was very skinny when he left here.
