As a Hawk, I dont want Pods. Longer would be a nice get, although Grimley and Lowden are both looking OK in Box Hill for more senior time next year.

Dale Thomas (Carlton arent over the line just yet) or Col Sylvia would be handy, and a 1-2 year deal for Chappy would be OK

Particularly Chaoppy or Sylvia as they both tear us a new one frequently...pretty sure Chappy would pass playing for the Hawks though...

Shaw- wouldnt be disappointed if we went after him to replace Goo but we do have Suckling back next year

If Carlton aren't willing to match either offer for a player they know "inside and out"*.....Adelaide and North paying way overs.

Who, at Adelaide, would be on $500k+?

I'd think maybe only Dangerfield, Walker, Sloane, Douglas?

They are paying the full cap, so there must be at least a couple on good coin. Walker would be $500k min I'd reckon and Dangerfield up around the $700k mark.

Over-value? Maybe. But then a lot of players across the competition would be. Dale Thomas worth the $750k-$800k per season that's been bandied about?

If they can get it, good luck to them.

Lowden is a BIG kid. Started looking good in the ruck toward the end of this year. Does Ceglar have another year? Agree with Grimley- he is a Hale type 2nd ruck and forward. Mitch Hallahan is a very Sewell like player too. Shiel would be good! Heath Shaw no thanks. We usually show him up for his true ability.

IMHO the loss of Guerra is a big hole to be filled, such an underrated player (outside of Hawthorn most likely)

I always amazed anyone gets more than $100K per annum for playing any sport.
It just shows that our society values passing entertainment way over the science that could permanently improve our lives.

He had that one good season. Been going half-arsed at footy since Mick left though.
