It's not those two sides I'm as worried about...Sydney are probably the most dangerous opponent on that side of the ledger.

Looks like relying on Harry to tear Rance apart again. Bit of a worry especially with Hawk playing up the ground more these days.

Havent seen much of Geelong, but bringing back Z. Guthrie is a surprise.

Absolutely

Im assuming RIchmonds fleet of foot brigade and Menzels lack of pressure led to the call, a bit of horses for courses? I dunno, that's just how I saw it

Cant wait for the game tonight, should be a ripper

Is there a chance you run into them before the GF?

Sydney (if they win of course) play the loser of Geel v Rich, then the winner of that plays us in the Prelim.

I assume they weren't 40 year old SANFL fans rando 'types' coz we now know he struggles to communicate and integrate with that demographic!

Yes Jacobs covered him around the ground, but I thought he got smashed in the middle, just that Mumford was useless with his ruck work and kept feeding it to the Crows midfield. Reminded me of Lobbe in 2015 against Geelong at AO. Happy to be proven wrong as I didn't watch the game comprehensively especially after half time

Glad someone mentioned it .. Early on I thought Mumford was noticeably better positioned at the ruck contests. Granted he didn't always do a lot with it, but it prevented Jacobs from dishing it out. Mummy didn't do anything else though, whereas Jacobs always finds it in field play. 2nd half not sure, beers had kicked in and I'd tuned out.

I thought Jacobs was clearly better. Everyone see things differently

Gary Lyon has said this morning that Mumford was horrible and AFL 360/AFL Record editor Ash Browne (who is very knowledgeable) said that was just about Mumfords worst performance of him career

He clearly wasnt great, but I stick by what I said - At purely ruck contests only I thought he regularly took front position and negated Sauce' tap work in the first half

Normally Mummy makes a big difference as the enforcer through the midfield after the ruck taps, but he was nowhere to be seen last night. Thought Sauce played the game and conditions much better, and when you consider his situation to play like that was remarkable. Kudos Sauce. #weflyasone

Riewoldt on the C7 call noted that he played a few days after his sister passed away. He said the build up was very difficult but once the game started he was able to "compartmentalize" the issue and focus on the game, by the look of Jacobs he did just that. Focused very well on the game at hand and was overwhelmed at the final siren. Feel for the big bloke today, I understand quite a few of the AFC are heading to Ardrossan with him for the funeral.

If I was Port Adelaide, i'd be a little cautious/concerned about running into GWS next week if they make it.

I thought the Giants were horrible early as well, and they lacked any real forward entry method, but from 8.7 (55) to 1.5 (11) at half time, they kicked 5.7 (37) to 4.5. (29) in the second half.. they made 110 tackles - ONE HUNDRED AND TEN!

160 contested possessions.

Coniglio, Kelly and Ward battled hard, and I thought De Boer was super impressive.

For Port Adel, will they be able to combat Lobb, Patton, Johnson, Greene up forward?

Mummy wont have 2 shockers in a row you wouldn't think either, and Tomlinson did a pretty solid job last night on Lynch**.

For as bad as GWS were, i think the Crows were equally as good, and that's why the game looked so bad...

**edit just saw Lynch had 25 @ 72% haha, maybe Tomlinson didn't do as well as i thought

Johnson won't play. Patton looked as disinterested as I've ever seen a player, esp in a final.
