Yep. Cousins and that Freo player are helping to get Port off the back pages (and front in some states)

Harley Bennell is due for a mishap.

If I was Port, and I was face to face with one of my players who 'd done what he did, and he was completely sober, I'd have him at the cop shop ASAP so there'd be no doubt about him being completely sober.
In my mind there can be only two reasons he didn't receive advice to report immediately. 1) stupidity, 2) he was drunk.

Or 3) Both the above.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

I reckon more posters are on about the one game suspension.

Ok get that the big deal is about the 1 game suspension so now I would expect there to be some carry on here about Melbourne not suspending Oliver for any games when his was a proven DUI offense , Impey probably had been drinking but nothing proven yet everyone feels needs to be greater than one so a proven case surely has to be greater

More off-season drama for Fremantle Dockers with midfielder Harley Bennell’s car impounded

Mark Duffield, PerthNow

FREMANTLE have suffered yet another off-field misadventure with Harley Bennell’s car being impounded after he was stopped by police who discovered he was driving without a licence.

PerthNow understands police stopped Bennell on Tuesday this week for a routine traffic check and informed him his licence had been suspended from November 30 for loss of demerit points - triggering the impounding of his car.

Bennell, who is due to go to Germany this weekend for cutting edge treatment on his chronic calf muscle problems, has told the club he was not aware of the loss of his licence because he had changed address recently.

The 24-year-old, traded by Gold Coast to Fremantle at the end of the 2015 season after 81 games and a series of off-field issues, is yet to play a home and away game for the Dockers.

He played just one pre-season match in 2016, then one WAFL match with Peel before succumbing to an ongoing calf muscle problem.

The latest injury concern is said to have affected his other “good” calf muscle.

Bennell’s traffic breach is the latest in a series of summer off-field issues to confront Fremantle as the club tries to rebound from a disappointing 2016 season.

Incorrect , hit and run trumps proven DUI. We can only assume Imply was drunk and at the highest possible limit if he with the help if his club hides until it'll be out of his system. Much worse criminal behaviour than taking it on the chin.

Absolutely - at the very least, hit and run involves actual physical damage, DUI in and of itself is exceeding an arbitrary standard.

Ha ha, Imply by name, imply by nature!

Very much so surprise wise. Melbourne have a much better midfield than that. Viney, Jones, Tyson and Vince to start with.
