Crows fans at AAMI are a bunch of theatre-goers. What they don't understand in football, they make up for in time management (ie leaving games early, regardless of how it's going). A very fickle bunch at best.

The most dangerous place at footy park crows games, is the car park
with 5 minutes to go in the match.

S/DOG are you missing my point?
Why do some Crows supporters piss off in close games with 5 minutes to go.
If its 10 goals who gives a rats.

The way the Crows came in to the competition. The way it was marketed. The players. The coach.
The time in history.

Everything about the Crows coming in was condusive to people a little bit interested in footy to jump on board. It was always going to happen that way. "The team for all South Australians".

When you have 50,000 members, you're always going have a large percentage of "new" supporters. The ones who sit in the carpark hours before the game sipping from wine glasses, chatting and nibbling the gourmet BBQ.

But those people will be doing that no matter what happens. They'll love the social aspect, the getting together with their friends. The leaving early because they've had enough fun. Doesn't mean it's right, but eh - who cares?

There are a LOT of "mad" Crows supporters but the stigma of those "new" supporters from '91 onwards blinds it.

the reason why you see it less in power games

1. Because their is no body their in the first place, the stadium looks empty

2. recently they have rarely been involved in a close game

you boys are quite laughable at times

The wheel is starting to turn, Port is starting to blood some young guys, things are definitely looking up. This year for Port has been similar to how the Crows were 5/6 years ago (uncompetitive at home, inconsistent). If the Crows dont win a flag in the next 2 years, they'll struggle to win one in the next 5/7 years with the likely retirements of Ricciuto, McLeod, Edwards and Goodwin, within next 3/4 years. Port is giving significant game time to many youngsters, and have uncovered some 10 year players. There is still a reasonable gap between the sides, but i can certainly see it closing within next year or two.

Port won and in doing so just managed to avoid their longest losing streak. They have a long, long way to go before they’re a top class team again.
