Mate, your kidding, it has nothing to do with the history papers, it's all to do with how the clubs are set up as two total identities

No one is denying that the Power evolved from the magpies but they are two different entities.....

Does fremantle claim south fremantles premierships, no

Mate, I just took a look at your history pages, the Power web-site under Tradition, list past players, brief history and honor role all from 1997, list 1 premiership

Hold me down, but I just logged on to the Port Magpies website, checked the honor role and it DOES NOT list the AFL premiership

PortAdelaideProud

Just to put it beyond any reasonable doubt, I have just read the third bottom paragraph on the Port Magpies website under the history tab, and the last 10 words in this paragraph say

"WHO SHARE THE RECORDS AND HISTORY BETWEEN 1870 and 1996"

meaning, they are two seperate CLUBS

DO YOU GET IT!!!!!!!!!

1. No, Fremantle does not claim South Fremantle's premierships, because they did not evolve from South Fremantle. The Dockers were created through a merger between South Fremantle and East Fremantle, who were and still are 2 separate clubs.

2. I never said that they are one club. I've been saying all along that the PAFC and the PAMFC (clearly two separate clubs) share the records and history between 1870 and 1996. Did you not read my posts?

3. I'm sick of having this argument with other clubs supporters who clearly don't know and don't accept our history. Ask any true Port Adelaide supporter, and they will tell you what I've been saying this whole time. You will get Magpies supporters who are not Power supporters, agree with what you are trying to say. But those people, much like yourself, just cannot get the truth through your heads.

4. When you quoted that paragraph from the Port Magpies website, you said what I've said all along. The PAFC (est. 1870, now the Power) and the PAMFC (est. 1996, obviously the Magpies) share all records and history between 1870 and 1996. You lost your arguement.

I win. You lose. End of story.

the Port Adelaide Football Club est 1870 left the SANFL and joined the AFL and the Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club est 1996 and took their spot in the SANFL. Before you jump down my throat Sydney-dog Iam not a Port Supporter and i have recognised this fact since day 1. if you really want to get technical its the Port Magpies in the SANFL are the impostors IMO. its like one club leaving a league to join another league accept in this case a club with a similar name and the same colours has taken their place. however their will always be arguments over this as some people choose to ignore some important facts. as for the magpies claiming the pre 1996 flags well that one is debatable.

Pearce has great potentisal but lets not put him in the Hird / Grant category just yet

Fair point but at least Hird and Grant still managed to get drafted.
Heard Neale Daniher say on Fox Footy about a month ago that it was his belief that Clubs were scared off of drafting certain players after seeing Leon Davis get walked all over in two successive GF's by the Brisbane Lions (of course, he was mainly referring to Aaron Davey).
