The worst thing is that they had an agreement with a player that wasn't signed off on by the AFL. That's all. The agreement itself is nothing at all.
There is no way it's draft tampering.
To be honest, I reckon it was used to seal the deal two years ago and that's it. He was deciding then where to go/what to do - and the Crows offered to send him where he wants to go to get the contract over the line and get his signature.
Maybe the Bulldogs should pay for getting Lauchlan Veale

If thats the case then it's nice to see them stick to their word.

This alone could be a worry mate .. You know what Andy get's like, and if he see's a club has taken it upon themselves to pen an arrangement he considers should have had AFL ratification, he could ensure a penalty above the crime is imposed.
Interesting to see what comes of all of this.

Aren't clubs free to trade with whichever club they like during the 'trade period'? And if Adelaide wish to trade with a certain club, and accept lower picks, then isn't that their choice?
When you say HH3 that all clubs should get a crack at him, then that rearely happens during the 'trade period', does it? Players always seem to nominate who they wish their current club to deal with
....i think i've just confused myself!

Hmm, that means Geelong would be gone as well
Geelong were fined $77,000 in 1998 and excluded from the 1999 pre-season draft after it was found that they had exceeded the salary cap by $154,000 during the 1997 season.

I mean when we did it, we kicked ass. Sydney however were a joke.
