once or twice, blame the players- it's happening regularly.
Something's not right- physically and/or mentally.
Either way, the buck stops with the coaching panel.

The coach can only do so much. On field leadership and common sense at the death is virtually non existant.
We yet again had possession with under a minute left and yet again kicked to a contest. Why not make space and chip it backwards for an easy mark and wind down the clock? The players are fully aware how long is left . Why not when the opposition were making their run, did we not have spare men behind the ball? Players need to accept responsibility for this.
4 games lost by under a goal, apart from the Hawthorn game which was 50/50, we have totally outplayed geel,wc and now adel for no result. Should be in the 8, even the top 4 - no one else to blame but ourselves.
Changes will be made to playing personnel, not the coaching panel.

I almost, I say "almost" enjoyed that win by Adelaide. I'm not a big fan of either of the Scott brothers so to see the angry one get even angrier was quite entertaining.

Not only Petrie at that moment but all the North players within 50 metres of him clearly didnt work hard enough to get off their direct opponent and create space.

North 2013 = Geelong 2006. This side will come good if they get honest with each other.

X2

There were several opportunities for the Kangas to ice that game by either stealing a goal or time.
All Crows maintained belief that they could win including Talia who made what ended up a game saving contest in the last few minutes.

Petrie for wasting his last 5 possessions by bombing to a contest when the opposite team has ridiculous momentum. Plain dumb.

Bang on.

I was at the game. Petrie had no option. Not a single North player WANTED the footy.

North lack true leadership. Guys like Joel Selwood, Watson, Ablett, Goodes who demand the ball when it really counts.

Did the Roo's get any/many numbers back in the last couple of minutes? Seemed a fair bit space in the Crows forward line (granted they moved it in there quickly, but that was always going to be the case) and they should never have let the ball get over the back (nor should that space have been unguarded).

I reckon you're spot on right about the lack of leadership.

Good call on the leadership. That's when leaders stand up, win the ball and do the right thing by the team.

The class captains mentioned above would not have let Jenkins get the ball to ground and then get a possesion forward of the contest on the wing.

Geelong fans identify with the current North situation. This game reminded me of that dark day when Geelong coughed up a massive lead at Cat Park against the West Coast Eagles. We were side that could regularly challenge the top sides (with the exception of Brisbane for many years) but we'd always seem to lose by about three goals.

The talent was there but the killer instinct, the hurt was not. People are saying the same things about Drew Petrie that they said about Benny Graham. They were questioning the worth of guys like Kelly and Bartel the way the blowtorch is currently on some of the up and coming North guys. People were pointing the finger at Bomber just as they are doing to Brad Scott.

Two years ago Geelong would turn up and belt the Roos by 13 goals. That doesn't happen any more. For the first time in a long time the Roos are a tough team to beat. They will get even harder to beat when the learn to work just a little bit harder for just a little bit longer.

Not saying that these blokes are going to win three flags but this combination will be a top four regular sooner rather than later.

I already said I didn't see this team winning three flags, but I do believe they can position themselves for one. And all without tanking. It is possible after all.

They should tank.

The system rewards it.

There aren't many trolls on this site and that's what makes this site great. However, you aren't even a big fish in this small pond. wonder elephants is a much better troll than you as he trolled you beautifully when the elephants beat Regards REB in your recent clash. Luckily it didn't piss you off much. ;)

If there was a troll of the year that would get my vote.
