For me these 2 clubs deserve Anzac Day and this should not be taken away for any club any where else. The 2 biggest clubs in Australia going head to head! Forget the bullshit with Essendon the last 5 years- they are a massive club and will rise again and deserve this day!

Sorry, no one "deserves" it, no footy club is owed ANZAC Day - no matter how "big" they allegedly are.

pretty sure these 2 clubs built the day in to the spectacle we see today. In the early days it struggled for traction but they forced the AFL to stick with it. I'm not a supporter of either club but just seems that now its considered one of the biggest games of the year everyone else wants their piece of the pie! At least the crows are trying something different and trying to own Thursday night footy. Have games around ess v coll but never change it. The tradition is ingrained already

As is my tradition - I won't watch 5 minutes of it.

Few people backing North. Their record against the Dockers isn't bad over there ( won 7 of 15 ) and have been in front all 4 games this year before falling a part.

I think the Dockers in a tight one, but North not hopeless.

1 bad qtr against WC & GWS, dominated Geelong & WB for most of those games falling just short.
Take that form to Freo & they win.

Saints over the Cats for me, have a look at the accuracy of both teams in the first 4 rounds, can't continue for either side, got to be a correction. Plus Cats short break.

The Cats weren't innacurate enough in the first half last week for you?

Port- Should belt Carlton, 10 goals +
Western Bulldogs- See above, Haven't been as convincing but should make light work of the Lions at home
Adelaide- No May leaves a big hole, Talia has the wood on Lynch and Crows more quality, 5 goals
GWS- Some good in's for the Swans but still can't see them beating GWS
North- Have been excellent for a 0-4 side, play Perth reasonably well, Freo were very good against a Poor Dogs and then played one great quarter against Demons, Shut down Neale and Mundy and Roos win
Saints- Haven't been super impressed with the Cats, Should have lost to Melbourne and North and trounced a then old and hapless Freo and Hawthorn. Jury is still out for mine. Saints by 12 points
Eagles- Hawks struggling, even at the G Eagles should win comfortably
Melbourne- Still not sold on the Tigers especially if no Martin, some big ins for Melbourne should get them over line.
Collingwood- Do or die for Bucks and the Pies, Bombers havent been ultra impressive either. I reckon Pies get up.

When I was 11 we'd won 4 premierships in my life and over the next 12 years we'd win 9 more SANFL premierships.

By the time I was 25 there was 13 in the bank. In the last 18 we've won 1 at AFL level. You want to talk about being in unfamiliar territory, do you?

Haha, how true!

I started playing footy in 1994, and began following the Maggies that season. We made the GF in each of my first 6 seasons as a fan, for 5 flags. How easy is this caper, I thought!

3 GF's across the AFL and SANFL since 2000, for 1 flag.

Unfamiliar indeed.

still, 2 wins out of your last 16 doesnt make great reading.

Freo have surprisingly been not terrible in their last couple.

interesting game
