3 for being high, 3 for injury caused, 3 for intent and 3 for being off the ball.
Minus 2 for guilty plea.
About 10 IMHO.

with the media beat up, by the time he gets to the tribunal, he'll have to face additional charges of rape, arson & murder. Judging by this, he'll be lucky not to get the chair...

Did he break his wrist in the incident or otherwise?

OTHERWISE
while trying to slow down he ran into the railing along the wing which was unprotected.
hit his head on it as well. will be an investigation into the safety to players

how many weeks will the fence get?

Fair dinkum, if Hall hadn't of belted Staker into next week, we'd all be on here sympathising with Hall for breaking his wrist, due to poor safety.
Let's not overlook the fact that Hall was injured in the work place, due to inadequate padding/protection from the fence.
Sadly, this will be overlooked by the Staker hit (& the AFL will be loving it- they get off scott free)

I have seen something similar in the 2005 SGL grand final in port augusta. West player king hit the player who was going for the ball. You could here the sound from the other side of the ground and he was out cold. However played out the last half.

The player never got sent off for the offence of striking or assult. Then went to the tribunal and said he was going to jail next year and the tribunal committee suspended him for ONLY 1 match of what was a similar offence to hall. I think hall should try to use a similar excuse like his broken wrist.

The player that was hit had a stiff neck for at least 6 weeks later down the track. I wonder how long it will take staker to recover fully from this.

Hall should get 9 weeks and then get into the ring with Willie Mason and show him that left hook and after that maybe Mundine and Hall would be a draw card.

Huge discussion at work today, few off us came up with this, broken wrist or whatever keeps him out for 5 to 6, then he gets declared fit to play, then the tribunual sits back and announces it's penalty to be served from the time he is match fit, I believe that in this case this sort of scenario is warranted, like if from tonight he gets 6 well whats the point he was going to be out injured for that anyway

I'll cop it from all angles here but i rate that worse than the Lockett/ Caven incident.Ok Staker was not as injured as Caven but at least that had the ball in the vicinity so a player might see red overit but the hall incidentwas one of the worst things i have ever seen on a footy field. Ok take into consideration the ball was no way near the incident, take into account the complete recklessness of the act and take into consideration a hit of that force could kill someone. i am in favour of the send off rule (But only a 10 minute send off without replacement). hall to get 10 weeks (If he was playing SAAFL he would be de-registered

6 weeks = broken wrist

i think it should be 7 weeks from when he would be available to play

why ? because the bloke is already missing 6 weeks with the broken wrist so while the penalty is 7 weeks he is only going to miss 1 or 2 games that he'd be available to play in

so how would you determine when he is ready? Sydney would say he is OK to play this week....also he didnt break his wrist until after the hit so its not as if he said "Im out for the next 6 weeks lets king hit someone"...

Hall would have got off if he told the tribunal he was playing in a Grand Final this week.
