Excellent performance from North to overrun the Pies in the final qtr.

A real thriller that went down to the wire with Didak missing a close in shot that would've won the game.

Very happy to get the tip in a 50/50 game.

Nice work grantj, but it is meaningless until the round has been completed.
Beats me as to why ALL the media have ladders when we are only half way
through a round. :?

What a fantastic day of football. The Cats were well and truly challenged by the Swans who had us playing their style of football for two quarters. This gave them a 20 point advantage. In 'our' two quarters we outscored them by 62 points giving us a 42 point win. Gary Ablett was sensational today. Far too often in the past Junior has run into postion to kick a sausage roll but delivered a lot of points. Today he kicked the important goals. At the other end earlier in the day O'Keefe and Goodes especially let the Cats off the hook with multiple misses from gettable shots.

In BrisVegas the Lions almost slayed the Dragon that is Hawthorn this season with a two goal shoot out loss (that killed their percentage what a pity). Buddy was fantastic yet again, what a footballer. Bradshaw's remarkable recovery is complete with another bag of goals. Sammy Mitchell nearly died of leather poisoning and the Lions looked set to make the eight on what they have shown in the last couple of weeks.

At the G, North defeated Collingwood in yet another of their seemingly traditional controversial nail biters. Dodgy decisions, 5hithouse bounces and some never say die football from both sides presented us all with the most exciting finish to a match I've seen this year. A special highlight was the man we love to hate, Alan Didak, missing a sitter that may have won the Pies the game. Great stuff.

And then we get to the Crows.....what a 5hite game. What is it about these two teams that seems to be forever serving up three quarters of unwatchable dross only for the game to come alive in the last quarter? Adelaide were the better side but Freo nearly worried them out of it but didn't have the skill to go on with it. Many people on this site cling to their SANFL saying that the AFL is carp but I would suggest to many of you that you need to start watching other teams than just the Blackbirds, who like Sydney are for fans only. Adelaide started off with a more enterprising style of play but as the season goes on I believe old habits will return. And this is unsuccessful (ultimately) football that has arguably only delivered one premiership this decade.

regards,

REB

I can only assume that it's just to help hypothesize where the teams will be at the end of the round - using the remaining games with the current state of the ladder.

adn where is my mate "The Joker"??????

Give me Matty Campbell anyday....

Kangaroos coach Dean Laidley was delighted with the performance of his crumbing forwards.

"I'd like to make special mention of Matt Campbell and Lindsay Thomas and Ed Lower, some of our kids really stood up tonight," Laidley said.

"We just wish they had a little bit more exposure and perhaps a little bit more respect from the footy world."
