Dont like counting chickens before they hatch, but a good start none the less.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Wasn't the Geelong Ford Special - automatic choke - in June???

Touch'e Wedgie,
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'll say it now and get in early, given the sh!t handed out in 2001-03, gotta expect it back, so play on boys, its all good...

I just hope for your sakes that this isn't a case of premature sledging as somepeople may look a tad silly if the Crows win four games in row.....

Gotta another one (picture seldging us ) on Tuesday but I'm too techno phobic to paiste the picture......

Touch'e Wedgie,

Mate, I think Geelong are still hooting around in a Model T Ford with a manual choke they don't know how to let out.

Constance_Perm

no worries

Seriously though, Hentchel is a player on the improve and it is a shame, but we can cover his loss, at this stage of Trent's career he still has not developed into a number 1 forward role, the club has plenty of Tall options, Welsh, Perrie, Biglands, Bock and Kenny who can go forward

Hart, we have not seen Ben's best footy for two seasons, Massie, Torney and Stevens can all play out of a pocket or flank

Roo, Burton and Macca will all be hard to replace but bit of luck we will get them all back at some stage, I am confident at least two of these players will see finals action.....

People seem to forget, he club has played with injuries all year and an unsettled line up, Welsh, Perrie, Bock, Roo and Burton have all missed games during the year and we were not only competitve we won enough games to finish at least 2nd and we smashed some sides in the process

This is a great challenge for the club, and it is not too many seasons away before Hart, Roo, Goody, Macca and Zoomer all start to retire, maybe in the next few weeks we will see just who our next leaders are....

That is all well and good Syd,but during those lean periods where the Roo/Welsh/Perrie/Burton's have missed, the likes of Reilly,VanBerlo,Skipworth,Stevens,Doughty and Thompson have stepped up.My thinking is these guys have run their race for this year, they all look so tired,Johncock,Edwards and Goodwin are running on empty, and this is where the current Crows problems seem to be.
Goodwin,McLeod and Edwards are usually the icing on the cake, perhaps combining (in the clubs big wins this season) for 3-5 goals betwen them, then Roo has snaffled 2-3,Burton 2 or more, there you go,10 goals from what could all be termed "mid-fielders" and the forwards (Bock,McGregor,Perrie and co) only need to chime in for 4 or 5 more between them and a win is on the cards because of the super tight defence, but oh dear, here is another problem for Adelaide. All of a sudden Rutten is having to be a little more watchful as opposition sides are dragging him up the ground, negating his run out of the back 50,Johncock is being dragged back to the square, taking away the "link" man across half back,Bassett the same,in the Crows better wins this year Rutten was deep in defence kicking up o Johncock and Bassett/McLeod to let them run to the wing and attack from there, all of a sudden these roles are reversed and the run has dried up.
Until McGregor and Ruccuitto are back in the line up,and McLeod/Bassett and Johncock are fit and firing,Adelaide I think are doomed for an early exit form the finals race.I think history (2005,Crows losing to West Coast in prelim in Perth) is on the cards once more.

If you want to go far, go together.

I think Booney and Sydney-Dog both make very good points and I believe for every other side in the top four similar positive and negative arguments can be made.

What seemed a lay down masiere four weeks ago (an Adelaide v West Coast GF) is now a wide open race.

More so than ever I think the team that wins the flag this year will be the team with the best attitude and desire for the contest/footy, and willingness to sacrifice themselves for the team and the team goals. In other words the team with the best collective mental toughness is gonna win it.

Talk is cheap and I hope the members email the Crows supporters received yesterday is not just a collection of meaningless words and the players are going to back up the adminstrations statements with actions. Despite the injuries the side named agaisnt Melbourne has the talent to go all the way and can only get better with the inclusions of Roo and Kenny

Time will tell if it has the WILL....
