Sensible decision.

Clearly was aiming for Cooney's shoulder and when contact was made with the head, made an apology to Cooney.

These sorts of incidents shouldn't even register with the tribunal. Was quite clear that it was accidental contact and the fact that Cooney was in no way effected from the incident and infact wanted to remonstrate, shows there was nothing in it.

Wouldn't that be the reason it should be looked at as it was off the ball?

Yeah I would agree it was late, but the AFL needs to make a stand on what is malicious and what allows the play(er) to continue. If Hurley did some real damage to Cooney then the answer is simple, however if it was a mis-timed bump that has low impact on a player, id say let it go.

Hurley however, can count himself lucky that he just clipped Cooney.

A bump is not a loose forearm aimed at the head. You might want to review the footage.

Forearm, Elbow, Bicep, Tricep, Wrist, Fingernail, arm hair.......who cares what was aimed at Cooney, simple fact is he hardly touched him.

The point im trying to make is Hurley wasnt suspended and rightfully so as the contact was low impact. Call the act what you like Dogmatic, bump, strike, whatever......low contact was made, Hurley is playing next week.

Play on.

They said that Scarlett was selfish last year. Well Stevie J is worst, it's a scratch match and he misses the 80,000 crowd of round one now. He has now been suspended in his last 2 games for stupidity. His team mates would be furious. But it was The little wanker so it's funny
