Who do you go for? And why should they have been top 4 if the Roos hadn't fluked their way into that spot?

Yeah, they did, but the arguement is about 2015 and what I want to see!!!
Port supporter, as a supporter, our efforts were pretty good, however I think we would've benefitted from being on the Roo's side of the draw. Purely based on the fact that I believe an injured Geelong in Melbourne, was a better match up than Freo in Perth & we match up reasonably well against Sydney & it's game plan.

The Roos had no problem beating Freo in Perth

Do you realise North didn't lose to these teams in 2014?
You do realise that when North played those teams they had very average games. North are 10goals plus behind those teams.
So beating Sydney in Sydney, Freo in Perth, Hawks on Friday night footy, Port in their only loss when on a roll early in the season and Geelong in a final doesn't convince you? If thats the case you really are a peanut....

the milky bar kid wrote:Yes, they did beat those teams in the minor round. I still believe that they aren't on the same level as Hawthorn, Sydney, Port & Fremantle. I reckon if you asked supporters in other teams, out of those four teams and the Roos who you'd rather have your team play in a final, 9 out of 10 would say the Roos.
You won't get an argument that North Melbourne are on a different level then those below them, but unlike Hawthorn, Sydney, Port & Fremantle will not be a genuine premiership contender.
They still rely far too heavily on Harvey. Lost Greenwood, which will force a lot of contested ball responsibility onto Swallow alone. Scott Thompson does a solid job for an undersized full back, but if Firrito is in your starting back 6 you are in trouble & will get exploited against a genuine top 4 team with multiple forward options.

HH3 wrote:answer this out loud.....what position did North Melbourne Football Club finish at the end of the 2014 season?
Fourth?
So in the top 4?
So being in the top 4 sides, that would make the aaaaaa?
Top 4 side?
But hang on...if having Petrie as the target man, and Firito down back, and relying on Boomer means the teams in trouble....why the **** did they finish in the top 4?
Mark my words, the Roos will be around the mark in 2015 as well.

If the mark is 5th-8th, then yes, you will be correct!

2. People underestimating the juggernaut that is the North Melbourne Football Club
3. Any off-field drama
4. Any commentators commenting on footballers haircuts instead of describing what is going on on the field at the time.
5. Adelaide Crows anywhere near the top 8 (pretty confident I wont have to worry about this one)

4. Better not watch Port games this season. They'll be taking selfies out there next season.
