Might as well as get rid of Geelong, according to Clarko they're not that good. ;)

Richmond look like a team that hasn't done the work of others during the break and I think its going to be clear in a few weeks which clubs handle the break the best. You only have to be off a couple of % in this game.

Well they are 10 goals better than Hawthorn, who are 5 goals better than the reigning premiers...... Geelong's Premiership to loose!

Few concerns that's for sure. Few things I've noticed from last two games especially.
- Opposition pushing up into us as we try 'surge' the ball forward at all costs
- Riewoldt looks older & doesn't look like he can kick 40m+ anymore, I'm sure it will come back..... hopefully.
- Rioli has been real poor
- Pickett finding it a lot tougher at the level than he did in the GF
- I think we miss Brando Ellis two way running on the wing. His ability to push back & cover for our mids who don't work as hard is more evident now he's not there.

Glass half full says the second half against Collingwood was okay, the last quarter last night showed exactly what we can do albeit was way too late. Last year we were 7-8 at halfway point so hopefully things can improve but a quick improvement is required.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

He's right. As soon as anyone puts pressure on us we shit the bed. If we are allowed to play we can be very destructive, more than most but when we aren't allowed to play we have no method at all. Prognosis - Prelim Final loss.

The only reason it was a snoozer was because Richmond were so poor. Their first loss in 12 months. Should we get rid of them? I don't see how getting rid of 4 teams will eliminate snoozers. There will always be one sided contests and some teams will always play an unattractive style. Surely the fact one team can get belted at Geelong one week and next week beat the reigning premier is good for the competition.

I guess we just blame the poor skills over recent times on sponshorship making the balls slippery rather than the talent pool being spread far and wide. 14 team comp sets up beautifully for a just and true Home & Away season and a Reserves comp.

Simpson lays down an ultimatum to the AFL, this hub isnt going to end well for them, they might be lucky to win a game while they are there. Clearly their attitude is not right. Schofield had a go earlier in the week.

I had a thought that maybe Richmond and West Coast might struggle this year as they have tasted that success recently and are probably a bit ho hum about playing footy in the current climate?

Not sure about that, the decision would be on a knives edge.

Mumford must be in poor shape.

He was dreadful last week and it looks like he would need to lift significantly to keep his spot.
