Members and 11 game season ticket holders are two different things. No different to Adelaide only getting 48,000 to a Showdown. They have 60,000+ members...but you wouldn't have commented / trolled on that, would you?

smashed by the swans, just fell over the line against the hawks when they were up by roughly 10 goals. not very convincing against the cows and getting beat by an average eagles side (i don't care what the ladder says, they aren't that good)

No, not yet, but a couple of trends are concerning.

Our midfield is in and out of games, while Boak and Ebert have been very consistent, the likes of Hartlett, Broadbent, Polec ( inj ), Wingard have been far too inconsistent, not just over the season but from quarter to quarter.

There's a blue print to beating any side, it's how effective you are at executing that plan. As we've seen this year, Hawthorn, Sydney and Port have all been beaten by sides who simply outplayed them. So while I'm not thrilled at 3-3, I'm not shattered. We're getting worked out and I'm backing the coaching staff to counter that over the coming weeks.

One thing West Coast have is a solid midfield, don't view their side as shite over all, their mids smashed us yesterday and are capable.

As for Kane Mitchell, I question his place too. Sure he can run, sure he can create space but his use of the ball is not up to AFL standard IMO.

Young, Moore, Ah Chee should all play ahead of him IMO.

I think Impey will come in next week to release Broadbent onto the ball more, perhaps Wines back in and Moore for Mitchell.

48k is 10k more than 38k
Showdown crowd was 50k
Maybe for games like against WCE, limiting the 11 game memberships backfires as people choose not to go.

How many Port fans at the Showdown do you think? 6-8,000 or more?

Showdown crowd was "revised" ( how? ) two days after the game to go over 50,000.

What do you mean, limiting the 11 game season ticket?

Port have said they limit their sales of 11 game memberships so that other people can buy tickets each week. I think they said they limit it to around 30k

Pretty sure Port cap their 11 game membership to give more match day "walk-ups" a chance to get in.

This
Membership numbers are the biggest pissing contest going around. Membership revenue is the only figure that counts, all these other pet, interstate or other memberships are pure fluff.
We have 60,000 members but dont get that to home games, especially when we only get 38,000 tickets allocated at Etihad. Hawks and Pies have 80k members but dont draw anywhere near that to games.
Essendon for example made more $ from 55,000 members than what the Hawks and Pies did with 80,000 members

Port will bounce back against Brisbane this week, only for the ridiculous stat that the last 15 teams lost after playing carlton the previous week

This is a crazy statistic. Did you post this somewhere before MT? I remember reading it somewhere else late last week.
