Richmond football talent manager Dan Richardson confirmed Deledio had spoken to the club about the possibility of leaving to join the Cats.
But the Tigers will not explore the option of trading for Geelong speedster Motlop.
"Steve's probably not a player we're interested in so we'll see where we go from there," Richardson said.

Crows couldn't make the hard call on Thompson, and he will spend he last year fading away in the SANFL, esp with Gibbs on board.

Having seen a premiership window close I respect your ability to identify one Dutchy!!
Petrie 23 games in 2016. Daw 9 games, North Melbourne supporters are no position to talk about list cloggers and "hard calls" stifling the development of young up and comers. Hopefully Daw wont have to Waite for his opportunities in 2017....

Grahaml wrote:He might not have ended up being the player expected when he was drafted, but Bryce Gibbs is a seriously classy player and would be a good get for Adelaide. Depending of course on what Carlton need to make the trade happen. Can't see the Crows giving up as much as some are suggesting, given the bloke is 28. If anything, getting a couple of guys much younger might suit their list better anyway so a deal more like pick 13, Lyons/Kelly/Ellis-Yolman for Gibbs and Pick 24 could work for both clubs.
