Brady Rawlings, North list manager, made it clear JHF wasn't happy there and they knew they'd not get much out of him next year if they made him stay. My mail was he'd told them he wasn't coming back, trade or not.
It's also reflective of the modern world with clubs acting based on the players welfare. If he wants out for the go home factor then let him go, get the best you can and move on.
One club who hasn't looked like they did this is West Coast, the way they say "We stood by Rioli" when he was having trouble, it's not like they have a choice, it's their duty of care to ensure he's looked after and without doubt their duty is far and above that of any "normal" employer.
