It was clear our premiership chances were over in 2007 yet they and Craig have been refusing to bottom out for the last four years while dragging out the careers of players like Edwards, McLeod and Burton.

They along with the other clubs voted them in and were very much across what would be occurring when those sides came into the competition, if they so badly wanted Davis all they had to do was extend his contract which the club chose not to do. Still, the club were also well aware that a bitter feud was running between Edwards and McLeoud and again chose to simply bury their heads in the sand and do nothing over it, so its hardly a new precedent from the management of the club...

For me the allure of premiership is far greater than the money offered. GWS will play finals and possibly a GF within 6 years, cant see that happening at Crows.

Harper ia a joke, do you reckon this would have happened under John Reid?

Kept going on about the back up in Mckernan (who will leave also) Talia and Thompson - all of 20 AFL games between them!!!!!

The better clubs signed their guns up over the last 24 months before GC & GWS could lure anyone.

Andrew Swallow has massive respect from me as he was GWS's No.1 target.

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hahaha hilarious! Swallow was far from the number one target. You don't think the crows tried to sign Davis to a further contract. Ofcourse they did!

Ahhh... ;)

Seriously though, just like last year with Gaz for us, if they pick up a talented young Cat, I'll be peeved, but if that's the worst thing that happens this year (a youngster moving to another club), then it's a pretty bloody good year.

And the Crows have more to worry about than one young player.

Harper should join Rann in retirement after that performance

Phil was mild compared to Eddie this morning:

I must admit, he has a point.

He's a 20 year old bloke presented with the opportunity to set himself up and footy careers are short. Cannot blame him for taking that at all, some of the comments from Crows supporters about him are bordering on lunacy.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
